Red Cross Blood Drive

BREWSTER - An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held Thursday, April 22, 12 p.m. - 5 p.m., at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 17 N.W. Hospital Way in Brewster. Blood donations are essential. To make an appointment visit RedCrossBlood.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements. Blood and platelet donors can save time at their next donation by using RapidPass® to complete their pre-donation reading and health history questionnaire online, on the day of their donation, before arriving at the blood drive. PEO Chapter JF Scholarships- Last chance
NCW - Applications are still being accepted for the Upper Valley Scholarship supported by P.E.O. Chapter JF. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist women in need of financial help return to higher education in an accredited university, college or technical school in the State of Washington. This needs-based scholarship must be used for school expenses and will be paid directly to the school. Applications must be received for consideration by April 30. Scholarship funds will be available by the Fall of 2021, and be sent directly to the school financial department upon confirmation of enrollment. Brewster bus trips
BREWSTER - OCTN takes Brewster area residents to Wenatchee, second Friday of the month. Next trip is May 14. The bus starts picking folks up at their homes at 7:30 a.m. Riders may request destination(s); medical appointments etc.
