 BREWSTER - Brewster Senior Center on Bridge Street is serving hot meals only on Thursday at this time. Take out only. Please reserve your meal by calling 509-689-2815. Pick-up time is between 11 a.m. and 12 noon.
The home-delivered meal program is on its regular schedule.

BREWSTER - The Brewster-Pateros-Bridgeport Senior Center hosts the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition (OCTN) meals on Thursdays. Suggested donation for those over age 60 is $8.50. For those 60 and under the cost is $10.

Bach Fest is back
CHELAN/MANSON - Bach Fest is excited to announce their 40th Anniversary celebration lis ive in July 2021. Join them in their celebration of music now thru July-17. They will be offering in person events July 14-17. While the COVID-19 Pandemic has proved to be challenging in planning a festival, their leadership has designed an engaging and varied festival with safety in mind. This summer’s festival will feature 15 concerts – live outdoor concerts at Riverwalk Park and local wineries. Their live, in-person performances will be performed by their Artists-in-Residence and musicians from previous Bach Fests. The Festival String Quartet will once again be featured at the wineries. A live Noon Concert Series Tuesday through Friday and a Grand Finale Concert on Saturday evening, July 17, 7:30 p.m., at Pops in the Park (Riverwalk Pavillon), will round out the inspiring offerings at Riverwalk Park. Friday night features guest artists Tango Cowboys live at the Riverwalk Park Pavilion. For more info: bachfest.org

Brewster bus trips
BREWSTER - OCTN takes Brewster area residents to Wenatchee, second Friday of the month. Next trip is August 13. The bus starts picking folks up at their homes at 7:30 a.m. Riders may request  destination(s); medical appointments etc.
On the third Friday of each month July 16, riders will be taken to Omak for the day. Riders request their destination(s). Wenatchee: $12/boarding for General Public, $6 suggested donation/day for Seniors (60 plus). Omak: $5.50/General Public, $2.75 suggested donation Seniors (60 plus). Pateros Apple Pie Jamboree  
PATEROS –  Coming up this weekend is the July for Apple Pie Jamboree Friday, July 16 through Sunday, July 18. The annual event brings together the best of our community to raise money for local students, clubs, and community groups.  Vendors, kids’ games, jet ski races on the Columbia River, 3-on-3 basketball, Color Run, parade, Samaritan Riders benefit, fireworks and breakfast in the park are some events planned that have made past APJ weekends so popular. Back the Blue  
MANSON - The next Back the Blue event will be held Sunday, July 18, 3-5 p.m., at Four Lakes Winery. The Lake Chelan Patriotic Singers will lead those attending in three songs to kick of the event and the Manson American Legion will present the Colors. Among the guest speakers will be Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett and Chelan County Commissioner Tiffaney Gering, Manson Chamber of Commerce vice-president Kim Ustanik,  Manson Community Council chair Kari Sorensen, and Chelan Mayor Bob Goedde, with opening prayer by Harvey Gjesdal, retired LEO. The event will be held in the new production building at Four Lakes and they encourage everyone to bring a lawn chair.

Apple Cup Open Golf Tournament
CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Men’s Golf Club will be hosting the 2021 Apple Cup Open Golf Tournament on July 17 and 18 at the Lake Chelan Golf Course. Golfers will compete in 2-player teams and the format is Best Ball competition on Saturday, July 17 and Combined Score on Sunday, July 18. This tournament includes Side Games, “Closest to the Pin” contests, a Horse Race, and Gross and Net payouts.  There will be up to 3 Net Divisions based on handicaps. The cost for a 2-player team is $250 which includes Green Fees for both days.  Golfers must have an active GHIN and a USGA Handicap to participate.  Space is limited to the first 72 Teams (144 Golfers). BREWSTER – The next general meeting of the Brewster Chamber of Commerce will be held Monday, August 9, 6 p.m. at the American Legion. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. No more Zoom meetings.

Okanogan County Fair Advisory Committee
OKANOGAN - The Okanogan County Fair Advisory Committee meets the second Monday of the month and is always looking for volunteers. The meetings are open to the public and begin at 6 p.m. in the Okanogan County Commissioners’ hearing room, 123 N. Fifth Ave., Okanogan.

Pateros Community Market, Movie
PATEROS – The Pateros Community Market (PCM), also known as the Pop-up Market,will open for its third weekend of business on Friday and Saturday, August 13-14 at the Riverview Pavilion on Lakeshore Drive. Their will also be a market on Sept. 10-11. On Market & Movie Fridays, the PCM will open at 5 p.m. and continue through 8 p.m. Then from around 8:30 p.m./dusk a family friendly outdoor movie will entertain marketgoers. On Market & Music Saturdays the PCM will open at 9 a.m. through 1 p.m. with music and local vendors. The Pateros Market Committee is currently looking for vendors of all kinds, farmers, processors, crafters, makers, musicians, non-profits, young entrepreneurs, and more.
