Survey for transportation solutions
NCW - Have you ever had trouble getting to work or a job interview due to transportation? We want to know. It is a short survey about transportation solutions for anyone living, working, or commuting to work in Chelan and Douglas counties. The survey will be open through the end of June 2019. BREWSTER - S.A.I.L (Stay Active and Independent for Life) classes are Thursday, 10 -11 a.m. at the Brewster-Pateros-Bridgeport Senior Center.

Senior meals
BREWSTER - The Brewster-Pateros-Bridgeport Senior Center hosts the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition (OCTN) meals Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Suggested donation for those over age 60 is $4. For those 60 and under the cost is $8.50. All diners are welcome.

Brewster Senior Center Rummage Room
BREWSTER – Hours at the Brewster-Pateros-Bridgeport Senior Center are 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Donations will be accepted during store hours at the back door for the Rummage Room. No children’s clothing. They will take “small pieces of furniture and sometimes larger items.

S.A.I.L classes
OKANOGAN - The Okanogan County Artists will have a paint-in at the United Presbyterian Church, 429 W. Oak St., Okanogan, from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, Monday, June 3. The church will be open at 9 a.m. for those needing supplies and if you’d like to stay longer, bring a lunch.  Open to all local artists.  Bring a piece you’re working on, would like advice about or help with.  Or just come to socialize with like-minded artists.

BRIDGEPORT - Join us at the library as we study materials and practice answering citizenship test questions on Mondays 1-2 p.m. at the Bridgeport Public Library. /  Los lunes unase a nosotros en la biblioteca de Bridgeport de 1-2 p.m. para repasar materiales y practicar a contestar las preguntas del examen de la ciudadanía. Mended Hearts Chapter to meet
WENATCHEE - Greater Wenatchee Mended Hearts Chapter 91, Offering Hope and Encouragement to Heart Patients and Their Families in Chelan, Douglas, Grant and Okanogan Counties.  The Mended Hearts Meeting will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, at Central Washington Hospital Conference Rooms A & B on ground floor.  Learn about “Medicare Updates” from Dick Anderson, Medicare Counselor for SHIBA, the Statewide Health Insurance Program.  He will talk about changes to the availability of some medigap plans, how to avoid paying more than necessary for prescription drugs and attempts to scan seniors of Medicare. BREWSTER - The regular Brewster Chamber of Commerce meeting will be held Wednesday, June 5, 9-10 a.m. at the Columbia Post 97 American Legion building at 102 N. Third Street in Brewster. Okanogan Genealogical Society to meet
OKANOGAN - The Okanogan Genealogical Society will meet on Thursday, June 6, 1:30 p.m. at the Wilson Building of the Okanogan County Museum. 1410 N. 2nd St., Okanogan.  This will be their last meeting until September and they will be continuing their discussion of how our ancestors migrated from the Old World, across the New World to the west coast.  Anyone interested in family history is welcome.

Okanogan County Democrats to meet
OMAK - On Saturday, June 8, the Okanogan County Democrats will hold their regular monthly meeting from noon until 2:30 p.m. The primary venue is the Twelve Tribes Casino in Omak with a simulcast meeting at the Methow Valley Citizens Council building in Twisp. Brewster area monthly bus trips
BREWSTER - OCTN takes Brewster area residents to Wenatchee, second Friday of the month. Next trip is June 14. The bus starts picking folks up at their homes at 7:30 a.m. Riders may request  destination(s); medical appointments etc.

On the third Friday of each month, June 21, riders will be taken to Omak for the day. Riders request their destination(s). Wenatchee: $12/boarding for General Public, $6 suggested donation/day for Seniors (60 plus). Omak: $5.50/General Public, $2.75 suggested donation Seniors (60 plus).
