Bears basketball teams come off the road to host Raiders

Posted

CHELAN – Following a narrow loss to Oroville, 48-45, on Dec. 7, the Brewster Bears rebounded with a convincing 57-26 win over Liberty Bell on the road, Tuesday, Dec. 11. The second of three road games against Chelan last Friday, Dec. 14, didn’t go Brewster’s way as the Goats pulled out a nine-point, 69-60 win. The Bears were scheduled to meet Soap Lake, Tuesday, Dec. 18, before returning home to host Lake Roosevelt in a battle of the Central Washington 2B League’s top two teams.

The Raiders dropped a game to the same Oroville team that beat Brewster, but the Hornets, at 3-1 so far in league, remain in a tie for second place with the Bears.

The Lady Bears are undefeated, 4-0 in the CW2B with wins over Waterville-Mansfield, 61-46, on Nov. 30, Tonasket, 52-28, on Dec. 4, Oroville, 56-22, on Dec. 7, and Liberty Bell, 45-42, Dec. 11. The 1A Lady Goats got a 52-31 home court win over Brewster last Friday, leaving only Soap Lake, Tuesday, Dec. 18, before the Lady Bears host the league-leading 5-0 Lady Raiders on Thursday, Dec. 20.
