Bears soccer team loses bid for state competition

Won CW2B League title

BREWSTER – After sealing the CW2B League championship with a 7-1 win over Oroville on May 3, the Bears varsity soccer team opened district competition against Cascade on May 10 at the Wenatchee Apple Cup.

The Bears lost to Cascade, 0-3, and faced Tonasket in a loser-out match at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 13. The score was tied 1-1 at halftime. Tonasket scored in the second half to clinch a trip to state.
