Billygoats, Nannies bumped from post-season

EASTMONT – The Pateros Billygoats and Nannies varsity basketball teams saw their post-season hopes denied at the Central Washington 1B league championships played at Eastmont Junior High School on Feb. 20-22.
The Billygoats stopped Entiat, 53-49 in the first round of play last Thursday, Feb. 20, but fell to undefeated Riverside Christian Academy, 64-56, in a loser-out game on Saturday, Feb. 22. The Billygoats ended the regular season, 8-2, and 15-7 overall.
The Nannies lost both of their battles, dropping a 51-43 decision to Moses Lake Christian Academy on Thursday, Feb. 20. A second loss to RCA, 52-47, on Saturday, Feb. 22, eliminated the Nannies. The ended the regular season with a 10-2 record and 12-10 overall.
