The Pateros Billygoats varsity football team opened its season with a 54-20 loss on the road to conference rival Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian on Sept. 8. Things did not get much better when the non-conference 1B Curlew Cougars from the Northeast District defeated Pateros, 68-14, on its home field last Friday, Sept. 15. The players by class are seniors Diego Mota, Ishamel Mireles, Alex Ramierz, Elpidio Pamatz, Javier Garcia, Bryan Espino, Alexis Jimemez, and Jesus Zanabria; juniors Landon Bradley and Also Caballero; sophomores Daniel Blanco Storm and Ricky Fonseca; and freshmen Hector Espino, Johnathan Ambriz, and Tommy Nicholson
