Brewster, Bridgeport soccer players make All-League Team

BREWSTER-BRIDGEPORT – Eleven Brewster and Bridgeport high school varsity soccer players were nominated to the Central Washington 2B Soccer All-League teams this season, including Bears junior, Felix Nava who was named League Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Named to the All-League First Team from Brewster were Nava, Jose Carlos Talavera, Edgar Najera, Ricardo Gallaga and Rodrigo Gomez.
Bridgeport’s Alexis Valdovinos was also a First Team pick.
Second team nominees included Luis Fabian and Pedro Ortega from Brewster and Bridgeport’s Hugh Santana.
Brewster coach, Jenner Sanon was named Coach of the Year.
Brewster defeated Newport, 3-0 in a 2B/1A crossover game May 16 to advance to the first round of state play against Connell. The Bears’ state run ended with a 1-0 loss to the Eagles at Connell, May 16.
