Brewster softball stops Oroville, 12-3, to advance to state

BREWSTER – Following an extra-inning, 5-4, loss to Okanogan on May 16, the Bears varsity softball team clinched second in District 6 a final berth at the state championships with a 12-3 win over Oroville last Friday, May 19.

The Hornets opened the first inning with two runs, but Brewster answered with five when they came to the plate. That early lead set the tempo for the remainder of the game.

It’s on to Yakima for the first round of state competition starting at 10 a.m., Friday, May 26.
