Posted

BRIDGEPORT – The Fillies varsity softball team got partially back on the winning track with a split-decision doubleheader against Manson last Saturday, April 20. In a battle between two well-matched teams, Bridgeport won the first game, 16-9, but the Lady Trojans rebounded to take the second game, 17-5.

Bridgeport was looking for its second win since defeating the Soap Lake Eagles, 29-22, in one game of a DH on March 30. Bridgeport fell to a powerful Pateros team, 24-2, and 25-1, in an April 13 DH, and lost to Waterville-Mansfield on the road, 11-0, on April 16.

The Fillies face some of the better teams in the Central Washington 2B league in the remaining weeks of the regular season with a DH against Tonasket starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27. On May 3, the Fillies will travel to Liberty Bell for a DH, and host Lake Roosevelt for a DH on May 7.

Bridgeport was scheduled to play Oroville on the road, Tuesday, 23, and will host the Hornets next Tuesday, April 30.
