Garcia, Madrid, Hart named All-League wrestlers

BREWSTER – Senior state wrestling medalist Gabriel Garcia and senior teammate Rodolfo Madrid were the only Bears wrestlers selected to the 2019-20 Central Washington 2B All-League Wrestling Second Team.
Garcia placed sixth at state this year in his 160-pound bracket and Madrid wrestled at 220 pounds.
Pateros freshman wrestler Nate Hart who made his first appearance at the state meet this year, was named to the 132-pound Third Team.
As they did last season the varsity Brewster and Pateros wrestlers joined forces under head coach Shane Kelly and Assistant Coach Cindy Cavazos. The Billygoats brought five wrestlers including two veterans to the team. Brewster fielded four veterans and four newcomers to the combined team.
Pateros won the Sportsmanship Award.
