Lady Bears cage Tigers 12-0 in five innings

Posted

BREWSTER – In what was almost a mirror outcome of the varsity boys’ game against Tonasket last Tuesday, April 23, the Lady Bears shutout the Tonasket Lady Tigers, 12-0 in five innings to raise their league record to 10-1 atop the Central Washington 2B.

Behind the effective pitching of Sammi Emigh, base stealing on wild pitches, some key hits, and good defense, Brewster held the 9-3 Lady Tigers scoreless and shortened the game by two innings.

Following a doubleheader at Oroville on Thursday, April 25, Brewster will host Manson for a DH starting at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 27.

Brewster’s only league loss was to Lake Roosevelt in one game of a road doubleheader in Raiders’ territory earlier this month.
