Posted

BREWSTER – The Lady Bears varsity soccer team kept their unbeaten 4-0 league and 8-0 overall win streak alive with identical 7-0 wins over league rival Bridgeport and non-league Omak in two home games last week.

Brewster held the visiting Bridgeport Fillies scoreless in a league game on Thursday, Oct. 5, and two days later easily handled a short-handed Pioneer team on Saturday, Oct. 5.

A tough 2-1 win over defending league champion Liberty Bell on Oct. 3 broke the deadlock for first place in the Central Washington 2B League and elevated the unbeaten Lady Bears to the top rung of the CW2B ladder.

Brewster has beaten every team in their league except for 3-2 Lake Roosevelt and 2-2 Tonasket who sit in third and fourth place respectively in the CW2B.

Brewster was scheduled to face the Trojans at Manson, Tuesday, Oct. 10. In a previous meeting, Sept. 21, the Lady Bears held Manson scoreless, 4-0. The Lady Bears host Oroville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12.  Brewster beat the Hornets, 6-1, in an earlier game on Sept. 26. Brewster will host Tonasket at 4:30 p.m., next Tuesday, Oct. 17
