Lady Bears repel Raiders, 3-0, on volleyball court

BREWSTER – It took just three games for the Lady Bears to beat back the visiting Lake Roosevelt Lady Raiders on Senior Night last Friday, Oct. 28, in the Middle School gym.

The evening celebrated Senior Night for seniors Makena Kelly, Tori Hall, Daniela Olvera, Perla Perez, Daisy Gomez, Nancy Perez, and Abi Boesel.

Following a first set surge where Lake Roosevelt went on an eight-point run the Lady Bears found their range and took control of the remaining momentum. Brewster was coming off a 3-1 revenge win at Okanogan, evening an earlier home loss to the Lady Bulldogs.

The Lady Bears were next scheduled to host Liberty Bell at 6 p.m., Monday, Nov. 1, in district tournament play. The top three to emerge from district move on to state, A win over the Lady Mountain Lions will put Brewster back against the Lady Bulldogs in Okanogan on Thursday, Nov. 3.

At this writing Manson ranked second RPI is the league leader with Brewster and Okanogan fighting it out for 2-3. State will be held at the Yakima SunDome on Nov. 10-11.
