Mustangs end State run with loss to Vashon Island

VASHON ISLAND – The Mustangs varsity soccer team saw its season come to an end with a 1-0 loser-out loss to Vashon Island in the round of 16 bracket of the WIAA State 1A soccer Championships on Wednesday, May 15.

Bridgeport capped its season with the Central Washington 2B League championship and third place in District 5/6 play leading up to their first round of state competition.

Last year, the Mustangs won the District 5/6 championship but lost in the first round of state competition to Wahluke.

The Mustangs will graduate 16 seniors this year.
