Nannies win lopsided home doubleheader

ATEROS – The visiting Bridgeport Fillies varsity softball team ended up on the short end of a lopsided doubleheader against the Pateros Nannies last Saturday, April 13, with games that ended 24-2, and 25-1 in the host’s favor.

The Nannies relied on some solid hitting from their players and fielding errors by Bridgeport to take early control of both games.

Pateros has a winning season in the works with a 5-2 overall record. The Fillies are 1-4 in the Central Washington 2B league and 1-6 overall.

The Fillies were scheduled to play Waterville-Mansfield on the road on Tuesday, April 16, and will host Manson for a doubleheader starting at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 20.

Pateros was scheduled to host Lake Roosevelt on Tuesday, April 16, and will face the Bears at Brewster on Friday, April 19.
