PATEROS – Nannies sophomore Anna Williams has been named to the 2018 Central Washington 1B All-League Volleyball first Team by a vote of coaches and athletic directors.

While Williams was the only Pateros player to make the First Team among some stiff competition, the Nannies won the team Sportsmanship Award.

Rebecca Giacomazzi of the third-place Entiat won the Most Valuable Player award.    Other First-Team
nominees included:
Mika Sanford: Entiat
Connie Yallup: Riverside Christian
Marci Dowers: Wilson Creek
Celest McTaggart: Entiat
Gracie Bice: Wilson Creek
Coach of the Year: Heather Long, Entiat

The Nannies defeated both Wilson Creek and Entiat to win the District 6 championship and advance into the 1B State Championships at Yakima. They beat Neah Bay in the first round to make the quarterfinals where a loss to eventual state champion Oakesdale sent Pateros into the consolation round. There the Nannies just missed the trophy round with a loss to Puget Sound Adventist Academy.
