In appreciation to the community of Brewster

Our hearts remain touched with the love you have demonstrated for our Mother, Dorothy "Dot" Jess.  Words cannot express the fullness of our appreciation as it would take the entire paper.

Mother's legacy and inheritance of investing into the community she  loved will have effects for lifetimes to come.

Girls and Lonnie Fenton singing as she desired.  Each person Mother embraced as family.  Mother is irreplaceable and unforgettable. A true angel walked among us.

We miss the daily phone calls and Dan and Carrie stopping to see her.  She will remain forever in our hearts and yours.

We spoke to many people and heard sadness and questions regarding the cause of Mother’s death.  After lengthy conversations with the coroner his report states that the cause of Mother’s death was hypothermia.  She fell in the garage and was not able to get up.  We thank God that there was no harm that our Mother endured.

Out of honor and respect for our Mother, we hope you comfort one another with this truth. Anything else spoken is inaccurate.  In the midst of our mourning we are thankful Mother did not suffer from a long illness – God came for her and He was with her as He took her home.  We know we will see her again.

As we comfort one another Let us remember that beautiful smile that would light up a room, her hugs to you, her humor and creativity as she connected with people  ~ heart to heart.  We will all miss her prayers.
