Sweet River Bakery hosts Business After Hours

Posted

PATEROS – Sweet River Bakery, located at 203 Riverside Drive, opened its doors to host the Pateros Chamber of Commerce’s fourth consecutive Business After Hours event at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 6.
The get-acquainted event was the fourth in a series promoted by the Pateros Chamber that began in January at Thomason Law & Justice, February at Howard’s on the River, and March back at Thomason Law & Justice.
Balmy weather conditions allowed visitors to gather in the outdoor dining area facing Lake Pateros where store manager Chris Webb welcomed his guests. Sweet River featured “a tasting of all of their new menu items that they will be rolling out this summer,” Chamber president Libby Harrison said.
Among the new menu items are Strawberry Spinach Salad, Philly Cheesesteak Pizza, a Greek Hummus Sandwich, and fresh Cream of Asparagus Soup.
Owner Al Hymer returned to his Pateros roots from years in Colorado and opened the Sweet River Bakery in 2002, according to the store’s website, sweetriveerbakery.com. Haymer’s youngest son, Alex joined the operation in 2007 to handle day-to-day operations.
“I signed on two years ago,” Webb said of his management role.
Sweet River Bakery is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Next month, Business After Hours will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at Scratch at the Alta Lake Golf Resort.
