Local law enforcement supports Winter Special Olympics

Posted

March 2 was the opening ceremony for the Winter Special Olympics in Washington State. Law enforcement has always supported Special Olympics, which allows persons with disabilities to compete in a wide range of athletic events. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is no exception. Douglas County Undersheriff Kevin Morris joined fellow officers from East Wenatchee, Wenatchee, Chelan County, and other agencies for a photo with some of the athletes in Wenatchee. Sheriff Harvey Gjesdlal commends the law enforcement personnel who helped with Special Olympics and congratulate the athletes who made it worthwhile for everyone.
