Greg Shaw, a 2008 graduate of Bridgeport High School, recently graduated from U.S. Air Force technical training in hydraulics and was promoted to Airman First Class. He has been assigned to duty at Davis Monthan Airbase in Tucson, Ariz.
Shaw graduated from basic training Oct. 17 in a ceremony at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, with his mom and dad, Sam and Diane Shaw, in attendance.
"It was an awesome experience to see," Diane said.
Greg graduated with honors in marksmanship and his flight was an Honor Flight, Diane said. "His parents are very proud and fully support him and his decision to join the Air Force."
