Posted

PATEROS – A young couple armed with a handgun robbed the Pateros Super Stop gas station and mini mart at 233 Lakeshore Drive last Sunday evening, Feb. 16, according to a report released by the Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO).
Okanogan County Sheriff Tony Hawley reports that at about 10:23 p.m. last Sunday OCSO deputies responded to the incident where two suspects armed with a revolver held the store clerk at gunpoint and forced her to open the cash register. Store surveillance video of the robbery shows the suspects removing cash from the register before fleeing. No physical injuries were reported.
“The suspects were a male and a female who walked to the location,” said Hawley. “Both were wearing clothing which covered their faces. They were described as either Hispanic or Native American.”
The suspects are described as:
● Male, 5’6”, brown eyes, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black tennis shoes, and holding a blue/tan backpack.
●Female, 5’3”, brown eyes, slender build, last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, torn blue jeans, tan slippers, and holding a large purple “purse-style” bag.
The suspects remain unidentified. A 17-second video clip of the robbery is posted on the Okanogan County Sheriff Office Facebook website. Anyone having information that might assist in apprehending these suspects is asked to contact the OCSO at 509-422-7232.
“As these suspects are known to be armed, do not attempt to detain them,” Hawley cautioned.
