DOUGLAS COUNTY PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT Sept 12

EAST WENATCHEE - Douglas County PUD Commissioners Aaron J. Viebrock, Molly Simpson and Ronald E Skagen executed the following actions during the September 12, Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:

• Reviewed bid opening results from bid document 21-52-W, Generator Step-up Transformer replacement at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. All bids will be evaluated prior to recommendation for contract award.

• Approved change order No. 3 to contract 21-09-D, Construct Lincoln Rock Switchyard. The change includes additional labor, materials and time to properly construct the switchyard. The change increases the not to exceed cost $64,491, and extends the contract to October 28, 2022.

• Rejected bids under bid document 22-35-W, milling machine addition for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The lone bid was determined to be non-responsive.

• Approved a call for bids under bid document 22-54-W, fire protection system upgrades and miscellaneous piping at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Upgrades to the Fire Protection System, Oil Water Separator System Header, and the Service Water and Critical Service Water System are required to provide safe and reliable systems at the plant.

• Authorized a call for bids under bid document 22-58-W, milling machine addition for the Wells Hydroelectric Project.

• Approved land use permit 730-02, Mike Chapman. The permit is for use of Project lands for existing commercial agricultural use.

• Approved an agreement for professional services 22-56-W with Bioanalysts, Inc., for the services of Dr. Tracy Hillman as Chairperson of the Wells Habitat Conservation Plan Hatchery Committee. This three-year contract is not to exceed $165,000.

• Declared miscellaneous items of personal property to be surplus and authorized sale at public auction. The District owns vehicles and other miscellaneous equipment which by reason of replacement policy and obsolescence are surplus and no longer useful to District operations.

The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. September 26, at the District’s East Wenatchee Office.
