Grants awarded by OCSRA for 2018-2019

OMAK - During the last school year, Okanogan County School Retirees’ Association awarded $2700 in mini-grants to fund projects or materials in area schools. Winners and their projects include:   
Tonasket Schools: Michele Fancher, string art projects; Scott Olson, 4th grade chess club  
Omak Schools: Paulet Duck, Sue Hand, and LeeAnn Schrock: flexible seating; Denise Hack, gardening supplies; Joy Wilson, Top Chef program
Okanogan Schools: Rachel Abrahamson, science supplies; Heather Downey, 2 grants for Life Skills activities; Alicia O’Dell, STEM supplies; Carol Payne, art prints; Shayla Picard, launch pad and rockets; Zack Spaet, FBLA fundraiser “The Shoe That Grows”.
