BREWSTER – Area residents can enjoy an early evening parade in Brewster and light fireworks at Pateros Memorial Park on Wednesday, July 4.

The Brewster Chamber of Commerce is hosting the annual Independence Day parade that will march down the city’s Main Street at 6 p.m.

Interested participants can find an entry form online at www.facebook.com.brewsterchamber/ or call parade coordinator Mike Mauk at 509-449-0605.

Entrants can check in with the parade coordinator at 5 p.m. to determine their place in the procession and line up in front of the American Legion and down Third Street to city hall.

The parade will last for about 45 minutes, leaving plenty of time for those who want to swing by Pateros Memorial Park and light up some fireworks.
Pateros clerk/treasurer Kerri Wilson said that per state RCW guidelines, fireworks will be allowed in the park only between the hours of 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. from June 28-July 4.
