It doesn’t require much, some string, ribbon, colored markers and creativity to turn blank pieces of wood into Christmas tree ornaments.

BREWSTER – If you missed the adult craft Christmas ornament decorating workshop at the Brewster library last Thursday, Dec. 12, do not despair. There is another ornament workshop just ahead at the library from 3:30-5 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17. Titled Eggbot Holiday the session, recommended for students from K through sixth grade, will feature design and decoration techniques on blank spherical Christmas tree ornaments.

What is an eggbot? It is an easy-to-use open-source computer numerical control (CNC) art robot that can draw designs on small spherical objects like eggs or Christmas ornaments. It is a fun way to get acquainted with do-it-yourself electronics.

The eggbot class is part of the North Central Regional Library’s ATLAS (At the Library After School) series. For more information visit ncrl.org/Brewster or call 509-689-4046.
