PATEROS – The school district board of directors voted unanimously to approve a levy replacement resolution at its regular meeting held via Zoom on Oct. 25. Resolution 2021-309 will replace the district’s current four-year levy that expires in 2022 with an Educational Programs and Operations Levy (EP&O) proposed to appear on the Feb. 8, 2022 ballot.
The EP&O levy would provide approximately the same educational programs and operation purposes according to meeting minutes. It is a “four-year levy with an annual tax collection amount of $602.000,” said the meeting recap. “Cost per thousand would be based on property values, the current estimated rate is $2.50 per $1,000 assessed value.”
