Positive COVID-19 cases increase at a crawl

Editor's Note: As of April 21 at 2 p.m. the number of confirmed cases remain at 14, with 13 recovered. 464 samples have been send for testing, with 414 negative results. There are 36 test results pending.
 
BREWSTER – While other parts of the state and nation are experiencing different levels of COVID-19 presence, Okanogan County cases are increasing but at a crawl and those few that are popping up are at this writing in two localities: the Colville Reservation and Methow Valley.
As of 2 p.m. Friday, April 17, 14 confirmed cased of COVID-19 were identified out of 432 samples sent for testing. Of those, seven are on the Colville Reservation, five are in the Methow, and one each in the north and south county.
A resolution from the Okanogan County Board of Commissioners on April 14, called for the closure of all overnight transient accommodations and hospitality lodging until further notice.
