Three-car Injury accident


Mike Maltais/QCH One driver sustained injuries in a three-car accident at State Route 97 and 12 Tribes Casino Road Tuesday afternoon, June 1. A Chevrolet SUV (not pictured) was attempting to cross SR97 from Rodeo Trail Road at about 4:15 p.m. when the driver pulled into the path of a northbound black Pontiac Vibe (center pointing east). Both cars then struck a Corvette convertible waiting to turn south on SR97 from the Casino Road left turn lane. According to the driver of a fourth car waiting behind the Corvette, the Chev SUV became airborne after colliding with the Corvette and landed on its wheels on the north shoulder of 12 Tribes Casino Road. Police, State Patrol, fire, and emergency vehicles soon arrived on the scene. The injured driver seen being attended at the left side of the photo was treated at the scene and transported to the hospital. No further information as to the condition of the injured driver was available at this writing.
