Posted

BRIDGEPORT – An anonymous citizen contacted Douglas County Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal at approximately 1:50 p.m. on April 10 to report that a person with a known warrant was hiding in a house with permission of the owner on Bridgeport Bar. The informant was able to provide a description of the residence.
When a Douglas County deputy went to the house and contacted the female owner, she denied that the wanted suspect was at the house. Later, she brought him to the door and he was arrested without incident. The suspect, identified at 37-year-old Alberto Lopez Flores of Bridgeport, was booked into the Okanogan County jail on a felony warrant for Escape from Community Custody.
A Douglas County deputy on routine patrol, April 9, in the 1000 block of Columbia Avenue in Bridgeport, spotted a person standing in a back yard. The deputy recognized the man as having an outstanding arrest warrant.
The suspect went into the house.  Another Deputy was called to watch a second exit.  The suspect, 24-year-old Omar Medina-Hermengildo of Bridgeport was arrested without injury or incident and transported to the Okanogan County Jail.
