At age 13 Derik started working in the dirt with his dad and he continued to work in construction the rest of his life. He was an amazing equipment operator, but he was even betterat making you laugh. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his dad Bob Darlington.
He is survived by his mom, Janice Darlington, his sisters Deanna Wilson and Julie and Mike McKay, his brother Derin Darlington, his daughter Amy and Kris Erlandsen and grandkids Karter and Sophie Erlandsen, his son Weldon Darlington and his 7 nieces and nephews.
