Posted

Doradeen May (Halterman Nelson) Eller, passed away, on May 6, 2021 in Spokane, Washington.  She was born in Mansfield, Washington, on August  23, 1933 to Oliver & Olive (Moulton) Halterman. She and her two brothers, Oliver (Junior) and Wayne Halterman were raised in the Douglas and Okanogan County area.  She and her husband, Gene Nelson, raised four sons in the Mansfield and Bridgeport, Washington area.  Gene passed away April, 1982.  She met Russell Eller in the spring of 1992 in Mount Vernon, Washington, where she was living at the time.  She and Russ spent the next 27 years together living in Concrete, Washington; they later moved to Spokane in 2005.  Russ passed away January, 2019.
Doradeen is survived by her four sons, Gene, Clint, Barry and Don and their spouses all of Spokane, Spokane Valley and Liberty Lake, Washington; also one step-daughter, Karen Knowlton, of Butte, Montana.  Doradeen had 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was a very loving mother, a fantastic cook (always cooked too much) and super grandmother.  As she aged, she never lost the desire to provide food and love for others and to go grocery shopping; she always had a list and knew all the prices.  We will miss her saying ‘give me a kiss goodbye’.
A memorial honoring her life is set for August 7, 2021 in Green Acres, Washington.
