Laurence Earl Boyd, 87, of Brewster, Washington and formerly of Alger, Washington, passed away on September 7, 2020 in Wenatchee, Washington. He was born May 2, 1933 in Chelan, Washington, to Elmer Boyd and Anna Handley Boyd. In 1968 he married Roma Burgess in Marysville, Washington.
He was a cement finisher/contractor, a farmer, loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and was exceptionally good at gardening. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years during the Korean War and was a very loyal, a true friend to many, a hard worker and excellent father.
He was proceeded by his wife Roma.
He is survived by Millie Powell, friend and companion for over 15 years, his daughter, Monica Shaw, two sons, Jim Peckham and Bob Peckham, two sisters, Patricia Wood and Della Graffis, two brothers, Chuck Boyd and Tony Boyd, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life, for family and close friends, will be announced at a later date.
