Patriotic concert slated Oct. 10

"I'm an advocate of keeping my country and God at the center of things," Linda Lanier said.

Linda Lanier's mission in life can be summed up in three words: passion, fire and patriotism.

She hopes to bring that mission to Mansfield Oct. 10, when she will perform a patriotic concert in Downtown Mansfield, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Pioneer Club.

Staying in Mansfield for a few days, Lanier will also be joining in on Sunday morning worship at Mansfield United Protestant Church, at 130 W. 2nd St.

Making her home in Montana with her husband, Rocky, Lanier is a national and international Nashville recording artist with songs charting the globe.

She makes her daily life in tours across America singing and giving inspirational speeches.

She has appeared on television and radio programs and performs at varied events. Linda has even entertained on the hallowed ground of the Pentagon for a 9/11 Memorial service. She has been invited to appear at numerous Governor engagements, and has been extremely involved with the Army National Guard.

Lanier has a patriotic program that is said to move every audience member to tears and be filled with pride.

Lanier's popular video, "Prayer List" that was broadcast to 1,200 military bases and ships on the 4th of July received wide-range acclaim. Her song "The American Flag" hit #1 on the Radio Active Airplay Charts along with other #1 hits.

Linda Lanier possesses a passion for American military, their families and the American flag. Having been born into a military family, Linda is not a stranger to it's way of life. Her father was a Master Sergeant in the Army during WWII, while her mother was a police woman at a prison camp in Utah.

Remarkably, Lanier has had family members in each military branch. Her husband, Rocky, served in the Navy, as did her Father-in-law, as well as a stint in the Army. Their son, who is now in law enforcement, served in the Coast Guard. At present, other family members serve the country in the Coast Guard, Air Force, Green Beret, as well as one being a Lt. in the LA County Sheriffs Department.

Linda Lanier's patriotism and music reaches people at the core of their soul. Her personal trials, tragedies and near death experiences give her an empathy and understanding that allows her to touch the hearts of millions.

Her mission today is, "to bring an awakening and awareness to the American people that we must stand for truth and justice and that we must not waiver," she said.

"America needs to unite in prayer and stand together to save our home."

Lanier's latest song, "We need God in America again" sums up her mission on the road.
