Brewster Marketplace Pharmacy & Hardware hosts Grand Opening

BREWSTER – A year and a half after Brewster Marketplace owners Victor and Yvonne Vargas and Sabrina O’Connell took over the operation of Brewster Drug at 811 Highway 97 on November 2017, the newly renovated and reorganized Brewster Marketplace Pharmacy & True Value Hardware held its Grand Opening ribbon cutting ceremony last Friday, May 24.

Special attractions at the Grand Opening included a bouncy house and fishing pools with live trout for the youngsters, a barbecue, dunk tank, basketball hoop, special prices on plants and produce and a chance to win a new barbecue grill, lawnmower or pressure washer.

On hand with officials from the Brewster Chamber, City Council and Senior Center were representatives from True Value Hardware who presented the owners with a plaque of recognition acknowledging the store’s Grand Opening.

Since taking ownership of the new business the owners have created more customer space while reevaluating inventory to feature everything hardware shoppers need. That included adding Sweet T’s Gift Shop to the selection and an expanded sporting goods section that offer a wide selection of rifles and handguns.

Brewster Marketplace Pharmacy & True Value Hardware is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.
