Pateros hosts happy youngsters Sunday Easter Egg Hunt

Posted

PATEROS – Memorial Park was warm and sunny on Easter morning, Sunday, April 21, and it was perfect weather for a modest group of young egg hunters who gathered to find colored plastic eggs hidden in the grass and among the Memorial to the Methow display.

Howard’s on the River once again sponsored the event and sweetened the occasion with four special prize baskets to go along with the toys and treats the eggs contained. Youngsters from Pateros, Bridgeport, Brewster and even Chelan comprised the numbers who showed up for the 10 a.m. start time.

An ample supply of plastic eggs was secreted in the park grass and among the memorial sculptures, rockery, logs and other hideaways. When the scramble was over, everyone went home with toys and treats to celebrate the special day.
