Link Transit accepting contest entries, 3rd graders invited to submit artwork

Posted
NCW - Third graders in Chelan and Douglas counties are invited to participate in the annual Link Transit Artlink Bus Pass Design Contest. Winning designs appear on bus passes and a traveling community display with appearances in a variety of community venues including Pybus Public Market. Students should include a Link Transit bus and reflect their birthday month in their design.
“We like designs that show our buses traveling through the landscape no matter the weather or conditions,” said Artlink Program Coordinator Selina Danko. “Requiring students to submit a design related to what is happening around their birthday is a great way to show the versatility of our public transportation system.”
Contest entries should include at least three things learned from the Link Transit web site about the public transportation system for Chelan and Douglas counties (linktransit.com). All Art.Link materials (including theofficial entry form) are available on the website for download by clicking on the link found on Link’s home page. Information and forms may be sent in the mail for those who do not have access to a printer or a reliable internet connection. Only one entry per student please.
Participating students receive a set of markers, a coloring book designed by local artist Dan McConnell and are entered in a drawing to win additional fun prizes.
For more information or to receive an entry packet in the mail, please contact Selina Danko at 509-664-7624 or sdanko@linktransit.com.
