EAST WENATCHEE - Douglas County PUD Commissioners Aaron J. Viebrock, Molly Simpson and Ronald E. Skagen executed the following actions during the April 12, Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:

Approved revisions to the Customer Service Policies Schedule 4, Power Delivery Service. The revised schedule allows the District to serve new large customers with non-Wells Dam power, becomes effective May 1st of 2021 and has a gradual rate adjustment of 2.3%. “When combined with wholesale market power, this all in rate is lower than the average Washington State Industrial rates," said General Manager Gary Ivory. “It puts Douglas County in an effective position to attract new business for a long time to come."

Heard the bid opening results for bid document 21-10-D, supply and deliver tubular steel poles for the Lincoln Rock Switchyard. All bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.

Affirmed the execution of easement with the Department of the Army for requested structure relocation as part of the ongoing repairs from the Pearl Hill Fire.

Approved amendment No. 1 to the Interlocal Agreement for a community alert siren with Douglas County Fire District No. 5. This will extend the agreement to June 31, 2031 and revise the annual cost to $50.

Authorized an Interlocal Agreement with Chelan County PUD for purchase of property and easements. The 5.6 acres of property is near the Douglas Switchyard and will be for future operations.

Rejected bids under bid document 21-02-D, supply and deliver substation transformers to East Wenatchee. The bids have expired and the District will go back out for bid.

Awarded contract 21-12-D, supply and deliver compact 1100 KCMIL EPR Primary underground cable to WESCO Distribution, Inc. the lowest responsive bidder.

Approved a call for bids under bid document 21-25-D, supply and deliver substation transformers to Urban Industrial Substation.

Authorized a call for bids under bid document 21-27-D, H2 gas cascading panels necessary for dispensing hydrogen in to trailers at controlled rates.

Approved professional service agreement 21-18-W-PS, mechanical engineering for life safety projects at the Wells Hydroelectric Project with KGS Group. The agreement will not exceed $100,000 and expire December 31, 2021.

Authorized professional service agreement 21-23-W-PS, mechanical engineering for Class 1 Vertical Leaf Wheeled Spillway Gates at the Wells Hydroelectric Project with Black and Veatch. The agreement will not exceed $250,000 and expire December 31, 2023.

Affirmed ninth amendment to the Power Sales Service Agreement with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation. The District will sell the Tribe's power allocation on a forward basis covering all of the period from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2024.

Authorized confirmation agreement with Puget Sound Energy, Inc for the Colville Tribe's power allocation for the period October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2024.

Declared office equipment surplus and authorized disposal through recycling services. The printers are no longer used and would be of no value at a surplus sale.

Heard a report on the Douglas County Community Network. The network currently has 6,455 end users.

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. April 26s at the District's East Wenatchee Office. The District Office is closed to the public in response to the COVID-19 guidance from Governor Inslee.
