EAST WENATCHEE = Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ronald E. Skagen, Molly Simpson and Aaron J. Viebrock executed the following actions during the July 24, 2017 Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:
• Opened bids under bid document 17-09-D, provide traffic control services. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
• Opened bids under bid document 17-10-W, supply and deliver 350 MCM power cable for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. No bids were received.
• Opened bids under bid document 17-13-D, supply and deliver compact 1100 kcml EPR primary underground cable.  The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
• Awarded Foreman Meterman Hiland Hoiland with his thirty-year service award. Commissioner Skagen thanked Hiland on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his years of service. Hiland thanked the Commission and said "It has been a pleasure."
• Authorized release of easement for Pangborn Airport. The easement across the property is no longer necessary. (17-106)
• Approved amendment of the Electric Distribution System Customer Service Policies to reflect current business needs.  Changes include meter base locations, residential single phase service loads and service fees which will be included in the contribution-in-aid-of-construction.  (17-107)
• Authorized acceptance of work and final payment to Cascade Drilling under contract 16-28-W, addition of West Embankment Piezometers. All work has been completed and determined to meet bid specifications. (17-108)
• Approved negotiations with JT Tech under RFP 17-07-D, network upgrade. (17-109)
• Authorized a call for bids under 17-04-W, construct Okanogan River paddlers campground as called for in the Wells Project Recreation Management Plan. (17-110)
• Approved a call for bids under bid document 17-14-W, Methow Hatchery Pond 13 avian protection improvement and pond liner replacement.  (17-111)
• The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. August 14, 2017 at the District's East Wenatchee office.
