Local students make SCC fall honor roll

SPOKANE – A pair of students from Brewster and one from Pateros are among those who made the 2018 fall honor rolls at Spokane Community College (SCC) and Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC).

Carlos Najera of Brewster, and Aston Steggall of Pateros were among 2,300 SCC students to qualify for the 2018 fall SCC honor roll.

Esmeralda Barboza of Brewster was among 1,900 SFCC students to qualify for the 2018 fall SFCC honor roll.

Students must earn a 3.0 or higher grade point average (GPA) to earn honor roll recognition.

“Community Colleges of Spokane is a dynamic, 12,300-square-mile state community college district that includes Spokane Community College, Spokane Falls Community College and six rural education sites serving residents in Pend Oreille, Stevens, Whitman, Ferry and parts of Lincoln counties,” a Community Colleges of Spokane media release said.

“CCS offers high-quality academic transfer, career-technical and eLearning degree and certificate programs, business and community training; and adult literacy programs throughout northeastern Washington, enrolling approximately 34,000 students a year.”
