Pateros sends 22 senior graduates out into the world

PATEROS – The Class of 2023 participated in graduation ceremonies last Saturday, June 3, sending 22 new dreams and ambitions out into the world. Seniors

Jackie Martinez and Jonathan Sanchez welcomed the guests.

Six seniors and their families were recognized as Generation Graduates.

A moving moment involved Estevan Fonseca, a friend of the late Nathanial Hart, carrying a bouquet of lilies to Hart’s mother.

Salutatorian Dilan Martinez addressed the ceremony and later in the program Valedictorian Tea Asmussen did the same.

The Pateros choir sang “We Go Together” and a Thank You to parents accompanied the senior slide show.

Among scholarships awarded were those from the Pateros Scholarship Fund which has given $227,450 to more than 234 Pateros graduates.

Graduating with honors GPAs of 3.5-3.74 were Tea Asmussen and Dilan Martinez.

Alyssa Lopez and Teo Mendivil graduated with WVC AA degrees.

Angel De Jesus made the Principal’s List GPA of 3.5-3.74.

Eight of the graduates were 12-year seniors.
