WVC offers free college readiness class Sept. 6-15, seats limited

Fall quarter starts Sept. 19

OMAK/WENATCHEE - Two weeks before fall quarter starts Wenatchee Valley College is offering SDS 112: College Readiness Summer Bootcamp for free. Seats are limited so interested students should register now. The priority fall enrollment deadline is Friday, Sept. 2.

Students can earn three college credits for this class. SDS 112 is a two-week intensive course in basic college readiness skills including college navigation, study skills, and reading, writing, and math fundamentals. Students will have the opportunity to strengthen their English and math foundations and receive assistance with correct placement in writing and math. The course will include presentations from guest speakers across campus. Learn more at wvc.edu/CollegeReady.

The class is provided free of charge thanks to the WVC Foundation. The foundation is paying the tuition for the class, up to 45 enrolled students.

“Investing in student success is a part of Wenatchee Valley College Foundation’s mission,” said Rachel Evey, WVC Foundation executive director. “This bootcamp is a great example of how our generous donors are making a difference in students’ lives.”

Students in CAMP, TRIO SSS, Transitional Studies or those who are receiving workforce grants should contact their program director for more information.
