BREWSTER—With Easter just around the corner, the Chamber of Commerce met last Wednesday, March 13, to put the final touches on the Easter Egg Hunt that it will host in conjunction with the Brewster Boys and Girls Club (BBGC).

The hunt will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, the day before Easter, and be held at the soccer field across from the BBGC. It is free, open to all ages, and includes food, games, and prizes. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for photo opportunities.

BBGC Director Elizabeth Shepherd reported, “I filled 560 eggs. I have 144 more to go.”

Shepherd said she would have 1,000 eggs or more filled with candy and prizes.

“P1FCU went shopping and bought us $300 worth of stuff and prizes,” said Shepherd. “And they are going to come to the event and volunteer.”

Shepherd added that she is assembling 16 Easter baskets for the lucky winners who find the golden eggs.

The chamber also discussed a scheduled a return engagement of the popular Culpepper & Merriweather Circus on June 9. A site to hold the two performances is still under negotiation.

The Wenatchee Youth Circus (WYC) known as “The Biggest Little Circus in the World” inquire if Brewster would like to schedule a performance in town this year. WYC performs in East Wenatchee with tours stops at Ephrata and Entiat this summer.
