Brewster FFA plans full FFA Week

Posted

BREWSTER – Ag instructors Todd Dezellem and Natasha Hemmings have a roster full of projects, competitions, and field work to keep Bears Ag/FFA students engaged and learning. From welding and livestock competitions to floral subscriptions and community service there is little room to squeeze in FFA Week observances. But squeeze them in they did with events for every day of the week.

  • Monday, Feb. 19 was movie night in the high school commons.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 20, was an ice cream social at lunch in Hemmer’s room.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 21, featured a BBQ at lunch in Dezellem’s room.
  • Thursday, Feb. 22, includes a welding competition in Wenatchee plus Barnyard Olympics at lunch in Hemmer’s room and on the softball field behind the shop room after school.
  • Friday, Feb. 23, starts with breakfast from 7:15-7:45 a.m. in the culinary room.
  • All week there is a food drive competition for each Ag class.
