BREWSTER – Whenever you see the city fire and emergency vehicles serving among the escorts for Brewster students and athletes heading off to compete in the many events they qualify for every year, one of those who deserves a tip of the hat is Brewster Fire Chief Dylan Gamble. Gamble has been city fire chief since November 2017.
Brewster School Superintendent Lynnette Blackburn recognized Gamble’s contributions to the community and the children in it when she presented Gamble with the North Central Educational Services District (NCESD) Friend of the Children award at the last Brewster School Board meeting.
“The Brewster School District is immensely grateful for the years of dedicated support provided by Dylan Gamble to our students,” said Blackburn. “Particularly in the AAU and softball programs.”
Blackburn said Gamble consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the well-being of our students.
“His thoughtful arrangements for emergency vehicles to give special send-offs to students heading to state games or events add a memorable and uplifting touch to these occasions,” Blackburn said.
“Dylan's contributions extend beyond coaching, as he actively participates in maintaining our fields, bringing in water trucks to mitigate dust during events,” said Blackburn. “His selflessness and willingness to step in whenever our district and community need extra help make Dylan Gamble an invaluable member of our school community.”
The Brewster School District extends sincere thanks for his unwavering commitment to the success and well-being of our students.
