Christian outreach group to host free gospel stage at Omak Stampede

Posted

OMAK — Christians In Action, an interdenominational outreach ministry, will host its annual Gospel Stage during the Omak Stampede, Aug. 7-10, at Triangle Park between the carnival and rodeo arena. The events are free and open to the public.

The organization began in 1973 as part of “Key 73,” a national Bible distribution effort, and has since incorporated locally to provide a peaceful venue for Stampede visitors. The group offers free water, cookies, and Bibles, as well as live music, testimonies, and fellowship.

The schedule begins Thursday with Pastor Doug Pfitzer of New Beginnings Fellowship from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by music from Matthew Meadows and Kathleen Christensen from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday’s events feature Pastor Raul Martinez and the Hispanic Church of Third Day from 5 to 7 p.m., and Pastor Brian Wright of Valley Christian Fellowship from 7 to 9 p.m.

On Saturday, Pastor Brian Bowes of Our Savior Lutheran Church will lead from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by Pastor Jason Strickland of New Life Church from 7 to 9 p.m.

The outreach concludes Sunday at 10 a.m. with a continental breakfast and a Western Church Service featuring Paul White of Twisp’s Riding High Ministries and music by the Bull Moose Club Band led by Scott Milliron of western Washington.
