EAST WENATCHEE—Douglas County commissioners will conduct budget reviews and public meetings during the final week of October to discuss departmental budgets and public services.
The Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, October 28, at the Douglas County Public Services Building for budget work sessions covering Management Information Systems (MIS), the county coroner's office, and the sheriff's department.
The Monday schedule includes an auditor's monthly report presenting statements of expenditures compared to budget, followed by updates on transportation and land services.
On Tuesday, October 29, commissioners will consider two items: a letter of support for Project 24-2556 North End Douglas Creek Revitalization Plan and Resolution CE 24-25A regarding proposals for District Court indigent defense services.
Commissioner Straub will attend the Douglas County Wildfire Local Working Group meeting on Tuesday afternoon and the NCW Regional Diversion Workgroup on Thursday.
The week's schedule concludes with Commissioner Straub's tour of the Winton Manufacturing Facility in Leavenworth on November 1.
The county provides both in-person and virtual attendance options for public meetings through Zoom. Public comments are limited to two minutes per person and must address items listed on the current agenda.
