Roy and Sally (nee Jack) King will celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary on May 18. The couple resided in Brewster between 1968 and 1973 where Sally was an Operating Room Nurse, and Roy a Civil Engineer for the State of Washington. After moving to Southern California, Roy achieved his Professional Engineering registration in 1977, and his Master’s Degree at Cal State Fullerton in 1980. In 1978, Sally became the first Native American to graduate from the Physician’s Assistant Program at the University of Southern California.
Daughter Kerry (born in Brewster) graduated from Corona High School in 1988, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cal State Fullerton in 1996.
The couple presently reside in Phelan, Calif., in the High Desert area of San Bernardino County, and yes, they “…miss Washington!!!”
