WENATCHEE — The Community Foundation of North Central Washington announced that its 2025 Give NCW holiday fundraising campaign raised $1,085,414 for nonprofit organizations across North Central Washington, marking the highest total in the campaign’s 10-year history.
The total exceeded the previous year’s $904,765 by about 20 percent and marked the first time the annual campaign surpassed $1 million, according to the foundation.
Give NCW runs annually from Thanksgiving Day through Dec. 31 and supports nonprofit organizations serving Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties. In 2025, 98 organizations participated.
More than $135,000 was raised for the Give to All fund, which distributes equal supplemental funding to participating organizations. Each qualifying nonprofit received approximately $1,400 through the fund.
“The power of Give NCW comes from each and every person who participates,” said Thom Schroeder, the foundation’s director of marketing and communications. “When thousands of individual acts of giving are added together — rounding up at Plaza Super Jet, making a donation online, gathering a family around the dining table to give — so much good happens, right here at home.”
Donations were made through a range of channels, including online giving, donor-advised funds, qualified charitable distributions from individual retirement accounts and gifts of stock. The foundation reported that all credit card processing fees were covered either by donors or by the foundation, allowing 100 percent of donations to go directly to participating nonprofits.
The 2025 campaign also included incentive drawings and special events, including the third annual Give NCW Turkey Trot held on Thanksgiving Day. The event raised $37,421 for the Give to All fund. Additional contributions to the fund included charitable roundups from Plaza Super Jet customers and employee-owners totaling $10,311, as well as a $50,000 challenge match from the foundation.
According to the foundation, funds raised during the campaign support a broad range of services, including housing, food assistance, health care, arts and education programs throughout the three-county region.
The foundation was established in 1986 and manages approximately $163 million in assets through more than 690 individual funds. It has awarded more than $63 million in grants and scholarships, according to the organization.
