Judy Irene Golden

Judy Irene Golden, 75. was  born July 5, 1948 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Robert and Rose Stapleton and passed away July 20, 2023 at her home in Tekoa, Washington after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer.

Judy married her high school sweetheart, Tom Golden, on Thanksgiving Day in 1966. The young couple moved around Colorado and Texas before ultimately settling in Bridgeport, Washington, and raising their four children.

Judy was an active member of the Brewster SDA church for many years, and participated in numerous community outreach programs.

She was an avid reader with a thirst for knowledge and a love of teaching. She was an excellent knitter and was always willing to share her expertise with fellow knitters or anyone interested in becoming one. She enjoyed sharing her colorful creations with friends and family and various charities.

Judy was a spontaneous adventurer, always excited to see where a new road would lead and who she might meet along the way.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Tom Golden,  Tekoa, Washington, son Thanye Golden, Mulino, Oregon, and daughters Heidi Day, Lewisburg, Kentucky, Christy Golden, Spokane Valley, Washington, and Amanda Stolp, Chewelah, Washington. Her family also includes eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchidren.

She was honored by her family with a Living Funeral on July 11, 2023. No additional memorial service is planned.
